Waking up to WHAT?
The other morning shortly before 7 am I hear the beeping of a truck backing up. It kept going, and going, and going. So I finally jumped up to look at the neighbors yard to see if they were moving the play house. I had hear that they were getting a crane to do so. We couldn't see anything so I thought I was wrong. When we finally got up about half an hour later I could hear a lot of talking. So Mike went out to look and the crane was stretched from the stree all the way into the back yard picking up the playhouse! IT WAS HUGE, as you can see. Someone who was helping them was making a weird animal noise and they said, "Your neighbors are going to be asking if that is a bird!! HAHAHAHAH." Guess what, I know you weren't a bird.
We are guessing the guy build the house himself and for sentimental value wanted to keep it.
Dirty Dash 2011
Here are some videos Mike got of us:
That was when they came to see us, almost done. Some tried to share hugs to get them all dirty but our mud was too dry, didn't transfer.
This is at the final mud pit. Much better than last year!
It was great. I was planning on just doing the 5k, such a wimp am I. But we were all feeling so great that we all just did the 10k. Only took us 2 hours again. It didn't feel like that far or that long since they had more obstacles this year.

The Help
I just finished The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I can't wait to see the movie. I had started reading it but not enough to get into it so it sat on my nightstand for a while. But this week I picked it up again and couldn't put it down.
I don't know what to say about it other than it was good, I want to own the movie-once I see it, and I love learning about that time period.
Also, I need to be better about remembering that everyone is equal. I often judge people on what I see them do when I don't know their story. Someone shared something on Facebook recently about how you don't know the whole story. My friend who shared it said something along the lines of: my house is messy and not well decorated, but I am doing the best I can.
I agree, my house is messy and I am also really not good at decorating it (orange kitchen). But my kids are fed, happy, and learning.

I have come away think I need to make sure I notice my kids so they know I love them.
And remember: You is Kind, You is Smart, You is Important!

MJ Blessing
Mike Blessed MJ on July 24th. Katie was in town so we just did it then. Regina made the booties for her and my mom added the lavender ribbon to the dress so it would match the booties. It all turned out great!
Thanks to those who were able to come we had a great afternoon visiting with family.
Recognize the blanket?

The Car
We have done "in the car" now we are doing the car itself. The first picture with the car door open was when we finally decided that we were going to get really rained on so we stopped and put the tarp over everything, not bad for our first try. Though after that we decided to just always put it on and then we wouldn't have to waste time stopping to put it on. Turned out to be very good on several days. We killed a lot of bugs! And then the gaurd had to be taped because a bird ran into it. No word on if the bird survived. Shouldn't have flown into the car in the first place.
Some of the things we saw or stopped to see on the way.
There were lots of windmill farms to see all along the way. I have already shown you the burried cars. The green giant I believe I also already talked about. The bulls head was just something we saw on the side of the road. The itty-bitty dinosaur we were planning on stopping to see but we were too tired and just got the best picture we could. I believe there is actually a guy walking the dinosaur. We were driving like mad to make it to Dave and Tanya's and I saw the signs for Dorothy's House and made a split second decision to stop and see it. Why the Tin Man had no hands, I don't know. The mountain is Shiprock in NM, we all thought it was cool looking with the empending storm.
As for the Four Corners. I have lived in Utah my entire life and have never been there. I was determined to make sure that we stopped there on this trip. :( I knew that there was construction but if we got there during the right hours we could at least see it. It was the first day of driving and Henry learned really quickly that mom and dad didn't want him to have an accident in the car so we would just have him go on the side of the road. Apparently he thought that was really cool because we had to stop several times. So between this and the time we had to stop because Libby got car sick, we got there 10 minutes too late. :(
MJ two Months
Here are her stats real quick
Height: 23.25 inches, 82% (WOW! especially for one of my kids)
Weight: 10.9 lbs, 52% (Another WOW!)
Head: 15.0 inches, 29%
She smiles and coos now. So cute.
Getting better and better at sleeping.
And is now a good Belcher, for the most part!
