Lesson learned for today

When we got home from the Dr today I had to call Mike and feed MJ. The kids were working on finding their own lunch like they do every day. Suddenly I can smell something burning.

I call the kids in and thankfully Libby chose to tell me the truth from the get go so I could stop freaking out as the smell was getting worse and worse.

She had tried to make macaroni and cheese, the kind you make in the microwave. She didn't follow the directions at all though. She didn't even put water in the bowl.

But she told me the truth and she even cleaned up the mess herself. She had put the bowl in a grocery sack and even taken it to the outside garbage can. Lesson learned.

MJ two week check up at three old. Sidney's 2 yr check up.

Usually my kids are barely on the charts. MJ is at 60% on her weight at 9 lbs. They are supposed to make it back to birth weight by 2 weeks. That means that a week ago she was supposed to be 7 lbs 4 oz. I think she would have been beyond that.

Her height is at 63% at 21 inches. So she has grown the recommended half an inch.

Her head is at 25% at 14 inches.

Sidney was at 31% for weight at 25.25 lbs. Not too bad.

Height is 18% at 32.5 inches. Though she was SCREAMING bloody murder and wouldn't hold still so who knows if that is right.

And her head is at 77% at 19.1 inches.

It will be interesting to see how MJ does over the next several months.

Can you name the kid that goes with the picture? (And it may depend on how they show up on your screen.) I will put up the answers in a week.  Or how about now?

Sidney's 2nd Birthday Party

Sidney was so excited for her party. She LOVES to say "Happy Day!" I was still on major rest after having M.J. so Mike was more than awesome and did everything for the paryt. Under direction he made and decorated the cake and got the house ready and made the hotdogs. Sorry ladies, he is all mine! The birthday girl was so excited for everything she had a hard time holding still so I could take a picture of her. Thankfully her Aunt Heather was willing to hold her long enough for the picture.

She was too excited to blow out her candle that I had to keep covering her mouth and hold her back. (By the way, this makes the cake super easy to cut and serve.)

Sidney got some awesome new outfits, new dollies, a new dog toy, a little wagon, and a ball. She has been in Heaven since those are about the best things in the world to her! Thanks to those of you who were able to make it.
