A big thank you for Henry's presents. Thought I would give you an update so that you would know how much he loves his presents.
Lib, he now sleeps with his pillow and blanket/sleeping bag EVERY night. The backpack is the perfect size for jammies for a sleepover. We came home and found his turtle, his name is now Mr. Frog and he loves him!
Mom and Dad, they have both watched the transformer movie a couple times and will go outside and play transformers. They wear certain coats so that they are the right colors. He also is getting a lot of use from his transformer and his water bottle.
David, Regina, and girls; the first thing Henry said when he woke up the morning after the party, "Can I play my cars game?"
Becca and girls; He keeps asking to play with the playdoh, just haven't found the right time yet.
John, Heather, and kids; Henry loves the calculator and carries all over the place. He loves the fact that we can put "words" on it. It is also helping start to try to recognize the letter h and the number 4. (Who knew?)
Grandma Gibson, Henry loves his books and is constantly asking for us to read them to him. He also loves trying to shoot us with his nerf gun!

Tying shoes

Libby finally got the motivation to learn how to tie shoes. She needed new sneakers and I told her that she couldn't wear them until she learned how to tie them. She actually learned pretty quickly once I showed her the "normal" way to do it. We started out how most people seem to with the two loops and tying them in a knot. That just wasn't working, so we tried the other way. I am very proud of her growing up and learning new things!
(Sorry about the picture quality, I was laying down exhausted in bed.)
Crazy Words
Henry likes to make up his own words for things. Libby would make up her own sign language for things. Today we were outside planting our peas and the kids were playing with their play house. Henry was heard to say, "I need to screwser the door." He loves to screwser things. He is pretty good at it!

Dishwasher
When we moved into our first house the dishwasher sounded TERRIBLE! So it was quickly put on our to fix up list. We finally got to it about 2 years after we moved in. It was so nice to have a brand new dishwasher. And it was quiet! It was heaven. Then we moved again. Our dishwasher wasn't as loud as the first, but it was annoying and then there was the fact that it was only good for throwing water and soap at stuff. It didn't clean anything and it only occasionally dried the dishes. So we recently got a new one. This one has the steam feature and the automatic washing feature. So for the first load we put it to the test. We had a full load in the old washer that was loaded by an overzealous babysitter. Apparently they have an awesome dishwasher cause everything was just loaded and not at all clean. We transfered the dirty dishes straight over. (is that the right version of straight?) The first picture is of how much room was left over to add more dishes. More room is another nice feature! You can also see how dirty some of the dishes were.

Then there is a picture of our Jimmy rigg trying to hold stuff while other stuff dried. (mental note, make sure that is actually attached still). I have to say, everything came out clean except the cookie sheet that had cheese cooked on! (that was the true test) The dishes were dry! I was so happy! Oh and it was quiet. One of the best parts though, now Mike often does the dishes for me. I think he likes using the new washer, or it could be that he is being so nice since I am always so tired at night. Either way I will take it.
Next post, look for pictures of me at 6 months, with and without the coat. :D

REALLY?!?!

So we went to Lowes today. They have the slightly smaller than normal parking spot. But I was parked perfectly centered. I was actually proud of myself. When we come out this white van is parked next to us. I couldn't get the door open far enough for Henry to get in. He had to get in the other side and I leaned in sideways to get him buckled. This guy really couldn't just re-park real quick?!?!

Grocery Bags
So my sister did a post about two weeks ago. And the thing that everyone commented on was the recycled/re-usable grocery bags. My question to you all is this: How do you remember to take the bags in with you so that you can actually use them!!?!?!?!?!???
