Never even had a ponytail she found a hair tie and was basically
begging me to do her hair. I love it!

MJ 12 Months!

Here is MJ Today, her 1st Birthday

She has learned so much this last year as most babies do. 

 She is such a happy baby.  

She has learned to give GREAT hugs with a pat on the back or cheek sometimes. 

 She has 8 teeth.  

She is a fast crawler.

She gets very excited to see Dad when he comes home or her siblings, especially Henry.

Her siblings think she is cute.

She loves to play with soft dollies and things that play music

She has a cute little dance where she shakes her shoulders and her head, sometimes lifts her hands up in a cute way

A couple random things

The other night at dinner MJ was filling her diaper.  I asked Mike to change it as I had changed a couple earlier and Syd had a couple accidents so I felt I had done my share.  Henry pipes up and says, "Mom, your pooped!"

The kids were also talking about how when they grow up they are still going to ask us for help.  I said that would be easy since Henry is planning on living next door to us.  Mike asked him why he wanted to live next door to us and he said, "Because I love you guys SO MUCH!"

(Awwwww)

We have always been a little sad that our family turned out lopsided. 3 girls and 1 boy.  The other night Henry exclaims in the middle of dinner that there is a pattern.  We thought he meant to how we were sitting but then realized he was talking age order.  If we include mom and dad then there is a pattern!  YAY!!  It all works out.  So it goes boy girl girl boy girl girl.  All is right in the world again.  *SIGH*

I know there was more but every time I sit down to type them up I can't remember so I will post this and do another when I manage to remember.

Screen Door

That screen has lasted us four and a half years, lots of nieces and
nephews almost plowing through it, some adults almost plowing through
it, small children leaning on it. But this week it lost to our seven
year old and a pair of scissors.

MJ 11 months

She is getting SO big. Crawling everywhere and pulling herself up to
standing on anything that will support her.

She love smiling at just about anyone.  She has also recently become attached to a couple blankets her aunt made for her and Syd.  We will see how long they last though, she uses them as chew toys as well as insisting that they go almost everywhere with her now, not just at nap time.

MJ 10 Months

 

 She was just being SO cute and my camera was actually taking pictures quickly. 
At 10 months she can crawl, pull herself up to standing, say her own name, say Hi Dad, feed herself, mostly hold her own bottle

She is such a happy baby!  We love her personality and how she often lights up when people come in the room.  She often sees one of the kids and gets so excited and wants a hug from them.  Though she still gets the most excited for mom!  :D 

She is a snuggler.  When she is tired she will often lay her head on your shoulder for a minute or even do that like she is giving you a hug.  Or she will even gently put her head on my cheek or chin like she is giving me a hug or being shy.  She will wave Hi or Bye if she wants to.  Not much of a performance child. 

MJ loves playing outside.  Pulling grass is so much fun.  Though that might come from the fact that she is a Grabby Gurt.  We used to have a Sidney zone.  Keep things at least so far away so she doesn't grab things she shouldn't.  We now have the MJ zone and it seems to be more important than Sidney's was.  If she is bored or just doesn't want her binki she will take it out and flip/throw it around or even try to put it in other people's mouths. 

She also plays Peek-a-Boo.  In the pictures above where she is covering just one eye she is playing.  She will also put one hand over an eye and one on her head almost like she is exasperated. 

Holding MJ can be hard to do.  She is very strong and if she wants to go a certain direction or stand up on your tummy or hip, she will.  She is also a whirling dirvish, constantly on the move.

Henry's 7th Birthday

 Henry is now 7.  He loves anything Star Wars Lego or Star Wars Clone Wars.  He LOVES riding his bike.  He is quickly becoming a great reader.  He picks up on math quickly and is already asking for multiplication problems so he can learn them.  He is a good helper around the house and usually gets his chores done.  He absolutely loves his baby sister and is always asking if he can play with her for us.  She of course gets very excited when he walks in the room and loves to give him hugs too. He is quickly becoming awesome at Karate.  If you would like to see a great video of him at his last test let me know and I can email it to you.

For his birthday Henry got a bigger bike which he is quickly adjusting to.  He got some Star Wars Legos, some Star Wars Lego Shirts, a remote control jeep, some Star Wars Squinkies, and a Star Wars coloring book.

COLOR ME RAD

Here are the before and after shots.   Top left are the bride and groom before and after.  Some other random shots.  The top right one was right after the red station and the reason it looks kind of like blood splatter.

 These are some shots after we got changed and were ready to head home.  My left hand, top middle, almost looked like dinosaur skin to me.  Even after showering some people had some spot that they either missed or just wouldn't come off.  We had to do a creative hairdo for Libby this morning to hide her bluish neck!  It was fun!

Libby and her braces

Libby got her braces on last week. Her front teeth are angeled so far forward that they need to be pulled in more so that when she is 12 they can finish fixing them. Poor kid. I feel bad. I never had braces. :D Here is her before braces and with braces picture. She should have them on for 18 months. Lets hope she does it right and she won't have to have them on for extra time. On Sunday everyone kept commenting on how grown up she looks all of a sudden, I think the braces made her look older.

She started clapping yesterday!

She is so proud of herself. Of course we all love it too!

Minnie Mouse Ears

I saw a cool new way to do a french braid yesterday and tried it out on Libby's hair. I think I did it too wide so I figured I just need to practice. So I was going to try to do two on Sidney, she was asking for me to do it. I got her hair
parted and she was done. So I hurried and put it in pig tails but left them in the "buns". She
said it looked like Minnie Mouse Ears! She looks so cute with her hair done. I need to do that
more often.

MJ 8 Months Old

MJ is now 8 months old. She can mostly crawl. She can sit. She can feed herself finger food.  She "talks", mostly screeching.  She has learned how to laugh.  She still loves to gets peoples attention just so she can smile at them.  She has three teeth.  They basically came in one a day for three days.  And I was right, the first was wasn't one of the front teeth it was the  . . .  typing . . . searching. . . finding . . . the lateral incisor on her left side.  She gets really excited when she knows we are making her food.  She is a fairly clean eater except when she is feeding herself.  With our other kids it felt like we were always scraping food off of their faces as we fed them.  With MJ that isn't the case so much.  She is still a mostly happy baby, YAY!

Wish List

This book is on my wish list.  I have always been facinated with the Titanic, though I have never seen the movie.  I have read books and seen documentaries.  I love this author and I think it will be one I will enjoy.


I'll review once I read it!

MJ's 1st Tooth

MJ got her first tooth yesterday morning.  So thankful for kids who aren't really terrors when teething!  It is probably her front bottom left tooth, but it might be the one next to it.  It seems really far over to be a front tooth.
