MJ Video 1/19 Almost 7 Months

She can now "talk".  She says ah bababababab or ah mamamamama.  Sometimes she combines them and gets ah bababababababum.  It still makes me smile that she says bum.  (some of us never grow up.  :D )

She can also propel herself in whatever direction she sees fit as you can see.  She can roll over but I think she isn't too fond of it or hasn't realized what she can do with it yet.

Sidney's Alphabet

Sidney always wants to do her homework like the big kids.  So I have taught her "S" mainly for Sidney.

She can usually identify the S.  Sometimes she finds the "2" or the "5".  Close enough for me for now.

Today she is pulling the letters off of the fridge and we are going through them.  She kept trying to find the "H" for Henry.  (There isn't one) She found two "I"'s and finally says, ""I" for MJ!"

Libby is 9!

Libby is 9. My how the time flies. We had a busy weekend building up to her birthday as we had my three neices with us. 7 kids was fun! Libby had a great day and had fun talking to cousins on the phone and having cousins come over for cake and icecream. She got some new clothes as she has been wishing she had more long sleave shirts. She got some more diapers for her baby alive. One of her aunts will make her some wristers in the color of her choice. She got a nail kit and a new book. We gave her the outfit you see in the right pictures and a book that she had read 2 hours later.

Libby devours books. About the only thing her teacher ever has to get on her about is putting a book away and getting her work done. Her work sometimes is a little sloppy cause she does it fast so she can get back to reading. I would take her to the library but we would be in there everyday. Good thing she doesn't mind re-reading books. She is a big help around the house with her younger siblings. She helps get them breakfast in the mornings and sometimes helps Henry with his homework. She helps Sidney with her coloring, getting dressed, and potty training when I can't get there fast enough. She loves holding MJ and loves getting her to smile.

Libby is really enjoying her new room and is getting really good at keeping it clean. YAY! We love her so much and love watching her learn and make friends everywhere she goes.

MJ 6 Months

This picture was taken on her 6 month birthday. This was the best one I could get. She was so happy that she was blurry in most of the pictures.


Weight: 13 lbs 12 oz 12% (ACK! But up since then)
Height: 25 3/4 in 52% (down from where she has been but still doing well for one of our kids)
Head circ: 16.3 in 23% (right about the same % as last time)

She is finally eating and starting to like it. We tried starting her on food about 4 months old and she wasn't getting into it. With her measurements dropping I figured she NEEDS to eat. So we did a big push and now she is into it. She has started to gain weight and she sleeps better and is a happier baby. YAY!

She can roll over and gets into the crawling position. She loves to raspberry and growl. She snuggles when she is getting tired. It is so cute! She really knows who mom is and if mom is in the room mostly she must be held by mom. She takes the binky rather well so hopefully no thumb sucking. When she goes to bed she has to have the blanket over her head. Sometimes it will come off and she will start fussing or crying, we will cover her back up. It is like a switch. Often she will stop crying and fussing and lay down and go right to sleep. Though it is a little funny looking when she holds her head up, it almost looks like a ghost the way she moves her head around.

My 4 kids

My parents have a frame that they have specific requirements for. It must have all of my kids and be a certain size and be vertical. All of the current ones I could find were horizontal and would not crop nicely for this. So we hurried and had the kids put on decent clothes, put a sheet up over the closet door and took the above picture with my phone. Not to bad! Just ignore the clashing shirts. Libby had to change something like 4 times before she was wearing something picture worthy.

Dining before and after

I know I put one up of my mostly clean dining room but here is a comparison from being a storage room for 3 months to currently. My house is starting to feel like a house again. Thanks to everyone who has helped us out!

Clean up

For the most part I have a dining room again. Just going to need a
couple weeks to get caught up on the garbage and recycling pile we
accumulated this last week.
